2009-2010 Season News
Mon Apr 05 2010: The Lakers defeated the Wooden Sticks by a score of 10-5 to win their second straight Ice Park A League Championship. Nate Doan and Paul Bray each had a hat trick, Jordan Dufton scored twice, Tyson Clinton and Matt Willis each scored once. The first turning point was when Kelly Campbell made a breakaway save with the Lakers ahead 4-3. Later with the Lakers leading 5-4 Kyle McVey made a great pass to Jordan Dufton who scored on a breakaway while shorthanded. The Lakers added four more goals to put the game out of reach. The win gave the Lakers a perfect season of 27 wins and 0 losses. This is the first unbeaten season for the Lakers in this their 21st year of Lakers hockey. A special thanks to all the Lakers team members on a tremendous season: Goaltender Kelly Campbell, Brad Allen, Lyle Bedford, Kyle McVey, Drew Irvine, Oliver Shanks, Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, Ryan Campbell, Nate Doan, Matt Willis, Paul Bray, Chad Vautour, and Tyson Clinton.
