West Lorne Lakers Team History

The Lakers were granted membership in the OHA Junior Development League (JDL) for the 1989-90 season based in Port Stanley.

In '93-94, the Lakers won the East Division Championship and then, after re-alignment, won the West Division Championship in '94-95, an unusual feat.

In 1995-96, another league realignment placed the Lakers in in the Thomas Division of the Yeck Conference in which they still play.

The Lakers won the Junior Development League Championship in 1999-2000 defeating the Burford Bulldogs in the final round.

The Lakers moved to West Lorne for the 2004-2005 season.

The Lakers Hockey Organization have ceased operation within the OHA, but our Lakers continue to play at the London Ice Park on Monday evenings.
